ATLANTA, Feb. 06, 2009 – The Atlanta Symphony Associates (ASA), the 450-member volunteer organization that supports the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO), will hold the 2009 Decorators’ Show House & Gardens at The St. Regis Residences, Atlanta, located at 88 West Paces Ferry Rd., Atlanta, GA 30305. Now in its 39th year, the annual Show House is the longest-running event of its kind in the Southeast, and all proceeds benefit the ASO’s Learning Community.

2009 Cape May Designer Showhouse

This year's Cape May Designer Show House will be open for daily self-guided tours from June 26 through Jan. 3, 2010. Tours are offered Sundays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. only. Each visitor will receive a full-color program book with information about the designers, products and vendors. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children (ages 3-12). Tours of the Designer Show House can be combined with breakfast, lunch and dinner packages and special events. See the Designer Show House decked out in holiday style through Cape May's Christmas season.

The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League

The Charleston Show House will re-open for a limited time for the Spoleto Festival May 22nd – June 7th. CSOL Symphony Designer Showhouse takes "A Step Back in Time".  The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League (CSOL) promises that this year's Symphony Designer Showhouse will be like no other. The property known as The Maison du Pré Inn dates back more than 200 years and includes, not one, but five historic houses surrounding a charming walled garden. Given the theme of "A Step Back in Time," selected designers have been asked to honor the property's 1800's charm while enhancing it with the 21st Century comforts and luxury expected by today's guests.

The 40th Kansas City Symphony Designers' Showhouse has been selected.  It is the Nelly Don estate at 5236 Cherry.  Nell Donnelly lived at this home with her second husband, James A. Reed, while she designed and produced dresses in her Nelly Don collection for "modern" housewives and career women.

Decorator Show House Preview Gala Old York's 20th Annual Decorator Show House will open with a special garden party to benefit the Museums of Old York. Join the celebration! Attendees can enjoy a first glimpse of the Show House, meet the visionary designers and enjoy the fine food and open bar as they dance the night away to live music! Friday, July 17th from 6 ~ 9 p.m. at the 2009 Decorator Show House. Tickets are $75 and those who give at the Patron level of $250 per couple receive reserved seating at the event. We are currently seeking a Decorator Show House, but will post new information as soon as it is available!

2009 Pasadena Showcase House of Design

Architect G. Lawrence Stimson designed and built the house for his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Woodbury Stimson. They chose to move to this house from another Stimson designed home on South Orange Grove. That house, deemed too large for the family, was later purchased by the Wrigley family and is now the headquarters of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses.

St. Margaret's Hospital Guild Decorator's Show House and Gardens

The prestigious home is nestled amongst trees on 2.73 acres in western Hamilton County, with separate guest house, media room, solarium, private entrance to nanny's quarters, formal gardens, 7 bedrooms, 15 baths and much more. The 16,500-square-foot house and gardens were built in 1996 and owned by Donald F. Gongaware, a retired chief operating officer and director of Conseco, and Mrs. Patricia Gongaware. Patricia Gongaware expressed relief to hear the house and grounds she planned and built will be spared the wrecking ball. "They were a labor of love for us," she said.

New York, NY (February, 23, 2009): The 37th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House will be held this year in a majestic limestone mansion at 22 East 71st Street on New York’s Upper East Side. Designed by the renowned architect C.P.H. Gilbert who designed homes for the leading families of New York, this exceptional 45’ wide townhouse built in 1922 for Julius Forstmann is one of the largest and most important private residences in New York. It was most recently used as the Salander O’Reilly art gallery. The present owner, Mr. Aby Rosen, has generously donated the use of this stately mansion for the Kips Bay show house.
