San Francisco, CA (December 23, 2008)…The West Coast’s most prominent and emerging interior and landscape designers will converge on 2830 Pacific Avenue to transform the stately four-story Georgian mansion into the 2009 San Francisco Decorator Showcase - California’s premiere design showhouse. Now in its 32nd year, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase will run from April 25 through Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.
The elegant and formal Georgian mansion at 2830 Pacific was originally designed and built in 1910 by San Francisco architect Nathaniel Blaisdell. The four-story mansion sits on one of the largest lots on the 2800 block of Pacific between Divisadero and Broderick, adjacent to Raycliff Terrace. The main level’s spacious public areas include an elegant parlour, living room, large family kitchen and a formal dining room leading out to a landscaped garden terrace. The second level includes five bedrooms and a formal library. The penthouse level features a stunning wrap-around terrace with panoramic Bay views.

Since 1977, the annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase has benefited San Francisco University High School’s financial aid program, raising more than $10 million in its 31 years. The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is widely considered to be one of the premiere showcase events in the country, featuring the work of the region’s top interior and landscape designers. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the participation of hundreds of accomplished designers, the school’s trustees, parents, faculty, alumni, students, friends, and the thousands of Showcase visitors each year; the San Francisco Decorator Showcase allows San Francisco University High School to offer financial aid to 25% of its students. It is through the community’s continued support that quality education has been made available over the past three decades to hundreds of deserving Bay Area students. The 2008 Decorator Showcase raised a record $713,267.
