Maison Du Pré

Catherine Swider, owner of Cose Belle Interior Design, discovered her passion for design at an early age.  She studied with the New York School of Interior Design and apprenticed and worked with Accent on Design in Fort Pierce, Florida, an affiliate of Helene Weisman Designs based in Miami.  Catherine continues to draw inspiration from her travels throughout the US and abroad.  Her love of architecture and her exceptional gift for coordinating colors and textures along with creating exquisite custom designs compliment her finely honed people skills and are what she contributes to her success. Catherine especially enjoys working with older and historical homes with an emphasis on superior architecture.

Last year Catherine participated in and had the pleasure of making over a Master Bathroom, Dressing area and Master Closet for The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League.

Catherine’s design team includes Deidre Alexander, interior designer and artist Michael Kuffel.  Collectively they shall transform the first floor bedroom and adjoining bath arrangement positioned in the 1835 Charleston Single (Maison Whiting) on the grounds of The Maison Dupre; the much anticipated setting for this year’s Symphony Designer ShowhouseThe furnishings to be showcased have been hand selected by Catherine and Deirdre and can be found at her retail location on Beaufain Street. The retail establishment houses an eclectic collection of antiques, new and estate home furnishings and accessories as well as distinctively designed clothing and fine jewelry carefully selected by Catherine’s daughter, and buyer Ashley Swider.
