Sitting room at 2009 Symphony Showhouse by Coastal Classics DesignersThis sitting room was designed as a comfortable gathering place for guests of the Whitting House. Traditional and Asian aesthetics come together through pieces like an English burl chest and a late-Dynasty Chinese baby bath, while nautical antiques return guests to the presence of old Charleston before they retire to their rooms.  Curves in the window cornices and upholstered furniture soften the angles of the room, providing a more intimate environment, while blue and cream tones reflect the inn’s exterior.
